DEVOTIONAL:

If you have a situation in your life, do not deal with the situation by talking about it. You have to completely trust God and deal only with His promises. You must call things that be not as though they were. When the Word of the promise comes alive, the Word deals with the problem. The Word can deal with the problem much better than you can deal with it. It can straighten out your whole situation. It is hard to say, “I believe everything is going to be alright,” when it looks like all pandemonium has broken loose. It is hard to say it because we have been trained in the “sense realm.” We have been trained that it is logical to say what we see.

Your body is not your boss. It works for you. You have to stop and realize even though a situation looks bad, it is not true when it does not line up with the Word of God. It may be a fact, but it is not true. Confess the truth. Believe the truth and the truth will come alive, and when the truth comes alive, it will deal with the problem. God’s Word is truth, and if you have God’s Word, you have God. He can deal with the problem—even while you are asleep.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I am not led by my natural senses but by the Word of God, which is truth, and I take authority over my body, my relationships, my finances—or (name whatever problem you want the Word to deal with). I call in (name what you want to come to pass). In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

In Luke, chapter 8, we read this well-known parable…

⁵ A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. ⁶ And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. ⁷ And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. ⁸ And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear…

¹¹ Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. ¹² Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. ¹³ They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. ¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

What kind of seed (words) are you sowing in your life?

Dear God, Thank you for teaching me that the Word of God is like seed that I plant in my heart with my words. It grows up into whatever I planted—good or bad. I declare that my heart is good soil and I plant good words in it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

Since you spend every waking moment trying to live, your tongue needs to line up with the life God has designed for you. This means you must learn to speak the promise not the problem. Understanding the power of words is the key to your destiny. Death and life are not in the power of the devil or in your pocketbook—but of the tongue.

A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. (Proverbs 18:20)

All increase comes by the tongue—by the words you speak. Words can also be the trigger for negative life experiences…Without a doubt, your words are connected to your life. Proverbs 10:11 makes the same point: “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. ”In Hebrew, the word “well” means “source.” The connection between your words and your life is abundantly clear from these passages. 

The problem is that most people have not truly acknowledged the connection between what they say, what they have, and what they experience. This is because the revelation of this connection was lost in the Fall of man. But Jesus came to bring us back to this knowledge as part of the salvation experience.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I repent over saying negative words that have brought negative results in my life. From now on, I will speak words that agree with your Word—words that bring life and blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

DEVOTIONAL:

You have been chosen. In John 15:16 (GOD’S WORD translation) Jesus says, “You didn’t choose me, but I chose you.” Chosen means to be picked out of a group. Don’t think it is a coincidence that you are positioned where you are in your school, workplace, home or community. It’s the divine plan of God. You didn’t choose Him, He chose you. 

Not only that, He’s gifted you, and the giftings He gave you are without repentance. They are for life. He sends you into the world and your sphere of influence to transform it. Your gifts are to be used wherever He sends, plants or places you, not just behind the four walls of the church. 

I’m here to bring you a word that will cause faith to come and activate the anointing Jesus placed on you as a part of your redemption. The apostle Paul said that in the last days, the manifold wisdom of God is to be manifested through the Church (Ephesians 3:10), revealing a better way of doing whatever job there is to be done.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for choosing me and that You have planted me exactly where You want to use me for Your kingdom work. I declare that I am anointed and operating in the gifts You’ve placed in me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. (Isaiah 10:27)

DEVOTIONAL:

The anointing that was on Jesus is the same anointing that came upon you and me when we received salvation and were baptized in the Holy Ghost. Isaiah, chapter 10, reads, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (verse 27). The anointing is the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God. 

Isaiah 11:1–2 goes on to say, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots” (Isaiah 11:1). Jesse was King David’s father. Jesus is often called “the Son of David.” The branch is the Church (i.e. the Body of Christ). “And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel [needed when you confront a legal issue] and might [that’s the ability to do anything], the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord [that keeps you on track]” (Isaiah 11:2). All of these anointings were on Jesus, but now the anointing has come on His Body (the Church, or the believers).

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for anointing me with the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. I receive Your anointing to remove every burden and destroy every yoke in my life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It’s time for the Church to take the lead. The world is waiting for the “manifestation of the sons of God.” The world is not going to have the answers to today’s seemingly insurmountable problems. When Jesus came He had answers. He functioned in the power and wisdom of God. Matthew 13:54 reads, “And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?” 

Remember what Jesus said when He opened the book and read in the synagogue? “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19). 

The anointing that was on Jesus is the same anointing that came upon you and me when we received salvation and were baptized in the Holy Ghost.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for the Spirit of wisdom that dwells in me because Christ dwells in me and He always operates in wisdom. I yield to the Spirit of wisdom in my situation and believe that I receive the answer I need. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today we need leaders with real solutions to society’s problems. One man said we are coming into a time in history that the problems we have in society are not going to be solved on the same level they were created. In other words, it’s going to take “Level Two” solutions to solve “Level One” problems.

God is assigning believers to positions of leadership in business, ministry, education and all spheres of influence, and it’s time for believers to manifest the wisdom of God. We should be the problem solvers. We were not created to run from problems, but we run to them because we have access to the answer to every problem in the world. How? Through the wisdom of God. 

God’s wisdom is shown to be true by its results. In other words, the proof of wisdom is results. Jesus changed the world because He used godly wisdom and got results. Every child of God has access to the wisdom of God; it’s your birthright. And, it’s time for you to enjoy this heritage and get results too.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I purpose not to run from problems, but to run to them, trusting that You have the perfect solution to the problem. I receive Your wisdom and get results! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn, (Isaiah 61:2)

DEVOTIONAL:

It took vengeance for Joseph and Mary to stay in the plan of God regarding baby Jesus. After King Herod had heard that there was a king in his jurisdiction, he “…slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from twoyears old and under…” (Matthew 2:16). He didn’t know that God had Joseph take Mary and baby Jesus down to Egypt. 

The scriptures go on to say, “But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life” (verses 19–20).

Notice, this scripture still refers to Jesus as a young child. So, within a relatively short period of time, perhaps three or four years, Herod, and all his company who were resisting the plan of God to redeem mankind, were terminated. I decree, “Whatever is resisting God’s plan for your life, whatever is tampering with your destiny is stopped today.” Isaiah 61:2 promises that your day is here “…the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.”

PRAYER:

I declare in Jesus’ Name, God’s plan will be accomplished in my life. Whatever is resisting the fulfillment of my divine destiny stops today! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” (Psalm 75:7)

DEVOTIONAL:

It took the vengeance of the Lord for Moses to enforce Israel’s release from Egypt. Whatever or whoever was resisting Moses did not go unpunished. When it was time for the children of Israel to be delivered from Egypt, the Lord told Moses, “And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go” (Exodus 3:19–20).

To fulfill God’s mandate, Moses needed knowledge of God’s “vengeance” to take his place of authority. He didn’t go toPharaoh or Egypt’s court for permission. No. By faith, Moses invoked the justice system of God, the Supreme Court ofthe universe, and because of Pharaoh’s resistance, the judgment started upon Egypt.

Psalm 75:7 states, “But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Isaiah 33:22 says, “For the Lordis our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.”

PRAYER:

Dear God, I praise You for Your great power. Thank you for Your divine assignment and that You will remove every enemy and obstacle before me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.” (Hebrew 10:30)

DEVOTIONAL:

God will bring judgment upon your adversaries and in so doing He will punish and penalize them for what they have put you through. He will force them to compensate you for the damages that they caused you. Again, “Vengeance belongethunto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord” (Hebrew 10:30).Recompense means “to compensate, pay damages, to make return of an equivalent for anything given, done or suffered; to make amends.” So, whatever is afflicting or humiliating you, whatsoever is against your peace, progress,  career, business or family, God is going to command vengeance upon them

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you that it is not up to me to rectify my situation or take action against those who have wronged me. I trust that You will do what is right in Your sight and I will receive recompense in this situation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
