SCRIPTURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the\nbeginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without\nform, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the\nSpirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there\nbe light: and there was light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God has invested a lot in your mouth. He put\nthe power of life and death in your tongue\u2014in your speech\u2026We know God\u2019s power\nis the ultimate power. He entrusted you with the ability to exert power through\nspeech. So you can speak life to your life or situation or you can speak death\nto it (see Proverbs 18:21). Your words can take you over or take you under.\nSimply put, you can change your future by changing your words. You have the\nability to do this because you are a child of God. In Romans 8:16\u201317 and\nGalatians 4:7, Christians are referred to as sons and joint heirs. God as your\nFather set the standard as to how His sons and daughters are to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our scripture this week, you will notice\nalthough the Holy Spirit was moving upon the face of the waters, nothing was\nhappening. God was God; the Holy Spirit was the Holy Spirit. Yet, nothing\nhappened until God released the Word. For God to repair the earth, or start His\nrestoration of this earth, He spoke to it. He used words to create the\nuniverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally in Genesis 1:26, God said, \u201cLet us\nmake man in our image, after our likeness\u2026.\u201d This means He was making man to\noperate as He does. It is normal for sons and daughters to take on the\nattributes of their parents. Talking like God should be viewed the same way.\nThis perspective is critical to victorious living!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear God, Thank you that You made me in Your\nimage. Your plan is for me to talk like You talk. I will speak words only that\nagree with Your Word and experience Your victory in every area of my life. In\nJesus\u2019 Name, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
