SCRIPTURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether\u2014the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 PHILLIPS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 1st<\/sup> ushers in a brand-new year. We make resolutions about our health, our finances, and every other area where we feel we need to get a fresh start. Have you thought about your soul\u2026Are you a new person on the inside? Here\u2019s what God\u2019s Word says about becoming new:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether\u2014the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new. All this is God\u2019s doing, for he has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ; and he has made us agents of the reconciliation. God was in Christ personally reconciling the world to himself\u2014not counting their sins against them\u2014and has commissioned us with the message of reconciliation. We are now Christ\u2019s ambassadors, as though God were appealing direct to you through us. As his personal representatives we say, \u201cMake your peace with God.\u201d For God caused Christ, who himself knew nothing of sin, actually to be sin for our sakes, so that in Christ we might be made good with the goodness of God.\u201d 2 Corinthians 17\u201321 PHILLIPS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, there\u2019s no better time to receive Christ as your Savior and Lord. If you are already born again, you are an ambassador of God\u2019s kingdom and you\u2019ve been called to be His representative, leading others to salvation and a new life in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have a happy and blessed New Year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear God, I thank You for forgiving me through Your Son Jesus, who paid the price for my sin so that I could become a new person in Him. As we enter into 2022, I invite Your Holy Spirit to teach me, empower me, and use me to bring others into Your kingdom. In Jesus\u2019 Name, amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
