Scripture: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the beginning God (Elohim) created [by forming from nothing] the heavens and the earth.
(Genesis 1:1 AMP) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Devotion: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nIn the beginning, the earth was void and without form as God began His work of creation. He had a big job before Him, but it was an easy task for God. How did He create the sun, moon and stars . . . the land, with its lush vegetation, the seas and all of His magnificent creation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGod said, \u2018Let there be light,\u2019 and there was light\u201d (verse 3 MEV). Then He named the light \u201cday\u201d and the darkness \u201cnight.\u201d God used the same SOP (standard operating procedure) for each consecutive creation. Do you know that you were made in the image of God, including the ability to create with your words?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus is our example. When He said, \u201cBe healed\u201d to the leper, disease had to flee and the man was made whole. As we learned in yesterday\u2019s devotional, we are called to do the works of Jesus. How? With our faith and our words! Build up your faith by studying God\u2019s Word and praying in the Holy Spirit. As you fill your heart with faith and God\u2019s Word, you will be able to \u201ccreate\u201d what you want to come to pass. You won\u2019t have to make something happen; the overflow of God\u2019s Word and Spirit from your heart will do the work!\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord, I pray You will help me to be disciplined to spend daily time with You\u2014in Your Word and prayer\u2014so, that I can effectively use the creative anointing You\u2019ve placed in me as I (lay hands on the sick, develop a new procedure at work\u2014name the area in which you want to be creative: ministry, business, etc.) In Jesus\u2019 Name, Amen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
