SCRIPTURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, (Exodus 31:3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One main reason why many people,\nincluding leaders, have not received what God has planned for them is that they\nhave operated at a lower level of wisdom. Consequently, they have limited\nthemselves. They become intimidated to live or operate in God\u2019s best, or what I\ncall operating \u201cabove the line.\u201d Operating above the line means flowing in \u201cthe\nwisdom from above.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When people live below the line of\nGod\u2019s best for their lives, they end up having \u201cboxed thinking.\u201d It is difficult\nto flow in leadership or even in life if you\u2019re living within the confines of\nboxed thinking. You have to think outside of the box in order to function\neffectively. For Joseph to accomplish the dream that God had given him, he had\nto think outside the box. Wrong thinking is a dream killer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having the right mindset is critical to being an\neffective, visionary leader. We all need the right thoughts in order to break\nthrough barriers of wrong thinking. The devil will try to limit you to earthly,\nnatural wisdom and put you in this box to hinder your fulfillment of your\nvision. He will do his best to pull your attention away from your calling, to\nengage you in this \u201clower level\u201d of sensual and self-gratifying wisdom to make\nyou ineffective as a leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my book, The Spirit of Leadership<\/em>, I\ndescribe fully the components of boxed thinking that will hold you back from\nbecoming the leader God has called you to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear God, I decree that I will not be\nhindered by \u201cboxed thinking.\u201d I take the limits off You, Father, and will walk\nfully in the vision You have given me. I reject the wrong thinking that satan\nsends to kill my dreams, and I receive the right mindset that will make me an\neffective, visionary leader. In Jesus\u2019 Name, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
