DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Merry Christmas!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As we celebrate the birth of our Savior and\nLord, Jesus Christ, let\u2019s look at this week\u2019s scripture, a prophecy about Him\nthat was written 700 years before His birth. Though Jesus operated on earth as\na man dependent upon the Holy Spirit, His Names, \u201cMighty God\u201d and \u201cEverlasting\nFather\u201d reveal His power and divinity while \u201cWonderful Counselor\u201d and \u201cPrince\nof Peace\u201d describe His gentle and compassionate nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This humble, meek Savior, who sacrificed\nHimself for the salvation of man, His own creation, was with us for only a\nshort season before He returned to the Father. But soon, Jesus will come again\nto reign upon the earth. His government will surpass all the governments of the\nearth in power and peace. The injustices, division and violence that now plague\nour fallen world will be no more, for Christ will establish His kingdom and\nuphold it with justice and righteousness when He comes, and He will reign\nforever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This Christmas as we look upon the newborn\nbaby in the manger and the angels singing, \u201cGlory to God in the highest, and on\nearth peace, good will toward men,\u201d let us remember that this sweet little babe\nwill majestically return to earth as the most powerful of all\u2014\u201cKing of kings\nand Lord of lords!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to the\nearth as a newborn babe, born of a virgin. I give You glory as the angels sang\nthat night so long ago. I thank You, most of all, that Jesus paid the ultimate\nprice for my sins, so that I can be forgiven and spend eternity with You.
