{"id":809,"date":"2020-01-13T06:11:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T06:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/devotions.billwinston.org\/?p=809"},"modified":"2020-01-13T21:54:18","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T21:54:18","slug":"dont-go-by-your-feelings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devotions.billwinston.org\/es\/dont-go-by-your-feelings\/","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t Go by Your Feelings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SCRIPTURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026he\n(Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong\nin faith, giving glory to God;&nbsp;and being fully persuaded that, what he had\npromised, he was able also to perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(<a>Romans 4:20\u201321<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a difference between human faith,\nwhich is called \u201csense knowledge faith,\u201d and real faith. If you\u2019ve got to wait\nuntil you see physical evidence to prove something is real, that\u2019s human faith.\nThat\u2019s the \u201cdoubting Thomas\u201d kind of faith that must examine the scars on\nJesus\u2019 body before believing in His resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human faith says if you can\u2019t see it, you\ncan\u2019t believe it. If I don\u2019t feel it, it just doesn\u2019t exist. Human faith is\nlooking for some outward sign, looking for goose bumps. Reread this week\u2019s\nscripture, Romans 4:20\u201321, shown above. Backing up to two verses before it (verses\n17 and 19), we read, \u201c(as it is written, I have made thee a father of many\nnations,) before him whom he believed, even&nbsp;God, who quickeneth the dead,\nand calleth those things which be not as though they were\u2026 And being not weak\nin faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred\nyears old, neither yet the deadness of Sara\u2019s womb:\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God said to Abraham, \u201cI have made thee a\nfather of many nations,\u201d before Abraham even had one child. For this to come to\npass, both he and his wife Sarah had to receive healing in their bodies before\nthe promise could be fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your job as a believer is to feed your faith\nwith the Word of God, and let your faith receive what\u2019s already been provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your job is to believe that God will do what\nHe promised. That\u2019s the only job you\u2019ve got. What God said is true. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HEALING\nCONFESSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Say this out loud with me, \u201cI don\u2019t care what\nmy feelings tell me.
