SCRIPTURE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And because of His blood, our sins are forgiven. His loving-favor to us is so rich. (Ephesians 1:7 NLV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEVOTIONAL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word favor in the modern dictionary means \u201csomething granted, done out of good will or excessive kindness.\u201d Favored means \u201ctreated with preference or given special advantages.\u201d When we say something is favorable or has an advantage, we say something is \u201cproviding aid, advantages, or a favorable position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another meaning of favor is to assist. For example, you arrive late to a show only to find it sold out. All of a sudden, the usher says he has two seats in the front row. This can be categorized as \u201cdivine assistance.\u201d Favor doesn\u2019t always have to be associated with something \u201cspiritual\u201d happening in your life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another definition for favor is kindness and grace. Sometimes we use grace and favor interchangeably because it can be translated in most places the same way. Overall, when we are discussing favor, we are talking about divine assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Think of examples of God\u2019s favor in your life, then thank Him!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Father, I thank You for the many times through Your grace You extended favor to me in difficult situations or in times of need. In Jesus\u2019 Name, Amen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
