Tithing Is an Act of Worship
SCRIPTURE:
I am the Lord All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing. (Malachi 3:10)
DEVOTIONAL:
How you handle the tithe can be the determining factor of whether you, as a believer, win or lose some of your battles. True, there are people who prosper in the world and they are not covered or protected by God. But realize they are living in fear, suffering from ulcers, and reading stress management books. One man said it like this, “They have insurance, but they have no assurance.” Tithing puts you in a place where Satan cannot destroy you or cut you off. You’re covered!
Here is the truth: tithing was for yesterday and it is for today. However, it should be done by faith, with the right heart, and in an attitude of worship. We are to bring, as an act of our worship, all our tithes into the storehouse. The storehouse should be your local church. It is not God’s plan for us to split our tithe up and send some to different places. We are supposed to “bring all the tithes” to the place where we’re being spiritually fed, where the Lord has His name, where His presence and His power are in manifestation.
PRAYER:
Dear God, I declare that I am a tither and I receive window of heaven blessings! I worship You with my tithe and honor Your Name forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
