SCRIPTURE:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

DEVOTIONAL:

In Genesis, chapter 12, Abram left Canaan and traveled south into Egypt… Now, look at how Abram came out of Egypt. This is powerful, and you will need to meditate on this. “And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold” (Genesis 13:1–2). This same thing happened to Abraham again in Genesis, chapter 20. Remember, what I’ve said, the blessing is not only for Abraham, but for us, too. God only needs faith to move. You can say, “in Jesus’ Name,” but remember Acts 3:16 tells us that it was “…his name through faith in his name” that made the man whole.

You can use the Name of Jesus, but it will not mean anything to you without understanding its power. You not only have to speak the Name of Jesus if you want the supernatural, you must have faith in the Name. Favor is the same way. You not only have to receive favor, but you have to have faith in God’s favor. God is not withholding anything from you, but He needs faith to move and faith comes one way. Not by crying for it or by someone laying hands on you. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and then speaking and acting on it.

PRAYER:

Dear Father, thank you that the favor and blessing You promised Abraham is mine, too, in Christ. I exercise my faith in the Name of Jesus to receive Your favor in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
