SCRIPTURE:

And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:16 NKJV)

DEVOTIONAL:

Revelation 19:16 says, “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” God calls us kings. A king can do no wrong. By referring to that well-know maxim, I’m not saying kings don’t make mistakes. I mean they aren’t oppressed by sin-consciousness. They are free from shame because they realize they are new creatures in Christ (1 Corinthians 5:17) and righteous through Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). The king speaks with divine authority; his decisions are always right” (Proverbs 16:10 GNT).

A king lives by decree. A king doesn’t ask for anything. He declares what he wants and those in his world rush to see that it is done. “Where the word of a king is, there is power” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). A king has no fear. The lion is considered the fearless king of the jungle. Proverbs says the lion is the “strongest among beasts and turneth not away from any” (30:30). He is fearless. We believers are descendants of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I thank You that You have made me a king in the Lord Jesus Christ. I hereby receive my royal identity and decree that all the promises of God are mine. I receive my divine assignment as a king in the earth to fulfill all that You’ve called me to be and do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
