SCRIPTURE:

They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:18 NKJV)

DEVOTIONAL:

In the last days, there will be diseases that won’t have a medical cure. The only place we’ll be able to find a cure is in the Word of God. Jesus said His disciples would lay hands on the sick and they would recover. (See Mark 16:18.) We are the disciples, the Church; His kingdom is within us. We can go out and take healing to the world—to the job, to the health club, to the beauty shop—everywhere we go. God’s kingdom power is wherever we are.

We are supposed to be opening up the drug houses and restoring people to wholeness in the Name of Jesus. We have something that will turn them in another direction and satisfy them so that they never need to take another drug. We have something more powerful than the drugs they have. We have the Holy Spirit.

First Corinthians 2:12–13 says,

“Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].” (AMPC)

PRAYER:

Dear Lord,  I receive Your Holy Spirit anointing that I may go out into the world around me and bring healing, deliverance, restoration, and wholeness to hurting people according to Your Word.  In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
