Make Your Words Work for You
SCRIPTURE:
so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
(Our) words are like employees in a sense, their original purpose was not to express careless thoughts, emotions, and opinions but to carry out orders and instructions. And it goes without saying that most of us fail to keep our words gainfully employed!
Isaiah 55:10–11 says, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Words have been given to us by God to increase our lives, among other things, by helping us fulfill one of the original commandments He gave humankind in the Garden: “Be fruitful and multiply.” (See Genesis 1:28.)
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank You for Your Word operating in my life to manifest Your promises of deliverance, healing, provision, and protection. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
