Scripture:

…who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
(1 Peter 2:24)

Devotion:

Once you are in the kingdom of God, one of the first things you must learn is the law of confession: the creative power and eternal value of your words. As a believer, you are going to have to value your words in a new way.

We know the law of confession is true for the saved and the unsaved alike because confession is a law. When an unbeliever says something they believe, it comes to pass. When they say something they do not believe, it doesn’t come to pass. Unbelievers have no idea that when they believe the doctor’s report and start confessing it with their mouth, that disease is going to play out exactly the way the doctor and they have confessed. It can be a whole different story with believers.

As believers, who understand “by His stripes we were healed,” we can overcome that negative doctor’s report with God’s Word on healing. Just like the law of lift supersedes the law of gravity, confessing what God says about our health supersedes what the doctor has said about it. His Word is Spirit and life and His spiritual words spoken in faith govern our natural lives.

Say What You Believe—Not What You Fear!

Prayer:

Father, thank you that I am in the kingdom of God and I have learned to value my words. I will speak what God says about my health, my marriage, my family, my finances, my business (or job) and my ministry, and it will come to pass! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
