What is the Blessing?
SCRIPTURE:
(God) Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you. (Hebrews 6:14 AMPC)
DEVOTIONAL:
We are living in a time when we will see the “Blessing of the Lord” manifest like no other generation has up to this time. The Scriptures tell us that the whole earth is groaning, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. That’s you and me, the ones with “The Blessing” operating in our lives. The world is crying out for those who are God’s sons (and daughters) to restore The Blessing in the earth because they don’t have anything else that can fix it.
That’s what The Blessing does. We use the term, “God bless you, brother!” But do we really know what that means and understand that it’s much more than a casual, religious greeting? Do we understand that we are to use The Blessing to continue the work of creation and to bring this planet back into alignment with God’s original intent?
So what is The Blessing? The Blessing can be defined as the covenant of God that overrides the curse; the anointing of God through which divine favor flows; or the power of God to produce. The Blessing of the Lord is the presence and power of God in a person’s life that enables them to prosper in every area of their life, regardless of natural circumstances.
The word blessing is from the Hebrew root word “bless” or “Barak”—which means to invoke divine favor, to empower, to prosper, or to make successful. It means an “empowerment of success.” Every believer has access to the power and wisdom that will override the curse through faith in The Blessing of the Lord.
PRAYER:
Dear God, thank you for pouring out The Blessing on my life. I am empowered with divine favor, prosperous, successful, and anointed with Your presence and power to produce! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
