SCRIPTURE:

I will show loving-kindness to them and forgive their sins. I will remember their sins no more.” (Hebrews 8:12 NLV)

DEVOTIONAL:

You need faith at some level to get the promises of God that are for you in the Bible. In fact, hardly any of the promises of God in this Bible are received without some degree of faith. Many times a person’s faith is not developed because they are condemned. Their prayer and destinies are still hitting the ceiling of condemnation, because they are thinking about what sins they committed yesterday.

You have to understand that if you have given your life to the Lord and confessed your sins, God has forgiven you. God says, “sins and iniquities will I remember no more” (Hebrews 10:17, 8:12). Perhaps there is something that you never told anyone, something that you’re embarrassed about or ashamed of, but you’ve got to remember that God has not only forgotten about it, He won’t remember it either.

You have to fill your mind with God’s promises because if you don’t the enemy (the devil) will beat and harass you with thoughts of being unworthy, and he will try to disqualify you from having the favor of God on your life. Remember that God has forgiven you and the blood of Jesus is effective enough to not only cleanse you, but to cleanse your conscience from dead works as well.

PRAYER:

Dear Father, I have confessed my sins and no longer feel unworthy. I know I am forgiven and You have forgotten my sin and will remember it no more. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for shedding Your blood to make me free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
