SCRIPTURE:

but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. (Psalm 66:12)

DEVOTIONAL:

Let’s start by painting a picture… “For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place” (Psalm 66:10–12).

Does this sound like a situation you are facing today? Well then, it’s time for you to rejoice! God specializes in turning man’s adversity into triumph—by showing favor to those who belong to Him. His plans for us are for good, and when He brings us out, this is where He causes us to end up: “…but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place” (Psalm 66:12).

Other translations further define what wealthy place means: well-watered (MSG), a spacious place (RSV, freedom (CEB), place of rest (Septuagint), rich relief and liberty (Moffat), abundant prosperity (Har), and overflowing abundance (Ber).

This is where He wants us to end up. This is the picture He desires in each of our lives. He wants us to end up in our wealthy place. This is what He has ordained for us. From the beginning of time God prepared a wealthy place for us.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I praise You for Your love and desire for Your people to be in our wealthy place. I will testify of Your goodness and faithfulness to me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
