Scripture:

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
(Deuteronomy 28:13)

Devotion:

Picking up from last week, we learned that God had promised to make His people—the nation of Israel—the head and not the tail as they obeyed the commandments He gave them. He lifted them up to be on top in every situation.

This promise is for us today, too. His commandments are not grievous; they can be summed up this way: Love God above all else—and love our neighbors as ourselves. As you walk in love and by faith in God’s Word, you can know that He will take you to the top in whatever environment He has placed you. Believe now for His favor and promotion in your work, business or ministry.

Obey whatever He tells you to do. He will give you creative ideas, concepts and insights that will promote you. You are not waiting on God . . . He is waiting on you to take Him at His Word.

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that I will hear Your voice clearly and follow your instruction. I love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and walk in love with all who cross my path. Thank you for Your great plans, provision and promotion that You are working out in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
