SCRIPTURE:

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (Ephesians 5:18–19)

DEVOTIONAL:

Singing to God from our hearts or along with a praise and worship recording will create an atmosphere of heaven as we lift our voices to God. It can refresh our hearts, refocus our minds on the important, and pull us out of our fleshly thoughts. Singing anointed praise songs to God heals broken hearts, refreshes our souls, excites (or calms) our spirits, encourages us and fills us with God’s presence. (Psalm 149:1–4, Ephesians 5:18–19)

PRAYER:

Dear God, I enter into Your presence with singing and making melody in my heart to You, Oh Lord, for You are glorious and have blessed me beyond measure. I turn my heart and thoughts to You and receive Your refreshing. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
