The Battle Is the Lord’s
SCRIPTURE:
This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; … that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel…And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands. (1 Samuel 17: 46–47)
DEVOTIONAL:
David speaking to Goliath says, “This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel…And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands” (1 Samuel 17:46–47).
Did you see that? David declared what he was going to do to Goliath before he ever go to the front line. Don’t wait till you get in the fight to declare something. Start declaring it before the fight ever takes place. And you’ll find that your declaration is at least seventy percent of the battle that you’re going to fight. Your declaration really is the most important part of your victory.
PRAYER:
Father in Heaven, I declare that I and my family have overcome every attack of the enemy. The devil has been defeated. Thank you that You have given us the victory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
