SCRIPTURE:

For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love

(Galatians 5:6 AMP)

DEVOTIONAL:

It takes strong, unshakeable faith to possess what God has promised us and to reach our destiny. The promises of God are not automatic. We have to fight the good fight of faith to receive our inheritance and possess our mountain (see 1 Timothy 6:12). And your faith won’t work without love. You have to “stay on the love line.”

Many believers don’t realize the important connection between love and faith. One of the wisest things you can do is to ask God to increase your capacity to love, and since God is love, what you really need is more of Him.

When we disobey God’s command to love, both Scripture and modern medicine tell us that it can affect our bones, heart, nervous system and even parts of the brain. So, having God’s Word inside of us is preventive medicine. You can block God’s anointing on your life when you hold onto bitterness, unforgiveness, blame or have a victim mentality. If you don’t have God’s love working within, you can’t shape a culture, possess a mountain, or win souls for the kingdom.

Let’s walk in God’s love today toward everyone we meet.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for showing me how important it is to share Your love with those in my sphere of influence (my mountain). Increase my capacity to love, forgive, and show compassion toward others.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
