Your Calling and Destiny
SCRIPTURE:
For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
(Ephesians 2:10 AMP)
DEVOTIONAL:
Before you were born, God assigned you a purpose and destiny here on Earth. You were called, consecrated (set apart), and equipped for kingdom service. When I accepted my call into the ministry, I didn’t know the entire plan God had for me at that time. I did know, however, that I was called to preach the gospel and that I was anointed by God to bring deliverance, healing and freedom to those who didn’t know Jesus Christ. The more I was faithful and obedient to what God told me to do, He revealed His plans for me.
And God will do the same for you. He is depending on you to advance and cultivate the kingdom wherever He sends you, so don’t take your calling lightly. You’re carrying the kingdom within you and its purpose is to bless and help others as well as to bring transformation to cities and nations.
Remember, as an ambassador for Christ, you are a living reflection of God, reconciling the world to His love.
PRAYER:
Dear God, I am seeking Your will for my life. Lead me to the people you want me to touch and influence for Your kingdom and Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
