The Love Walk
SCRIPTURE:
“the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5)
DEVOTIONAL:
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” And, another man of God said, “To walk in love is to walk in the highest spiritual realm there is.” This says to me that in these last days if we are to experience God’s GLORY in our homes, churches and communities, we have to prioritize and practice our LOVE WALK.
Remember, the Bible says, “the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). When we step out of God’s love and yield to strife and division, or even an attitude of indifference, it violates the love nature of the Holy Spirit who dwells inside of us.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 1 John 5:1–3 (GW)
Decree with me, “From this moment forward, I am going to follow the commandment to love in every situation.”
PRAYER:
Dear God, I agree with this decree: “From this moment forward, I am going to follow the commandment to love in every situation.” In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
