I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19)

God wants you to make the right decisions so that you can fulfill the destiny He has for you, and in the process, a whole lot of other people will get touched and blessed by Him. But to make the right decisions you have to have revelation and understanding, which you will not get unless you renew your mind with God’s Word.

Your soul is your mind, your emotions, and your will. It is where you make decisions. Therefore, your destiny and the quality of your life are determined by your soul. You have to get your mind transformed by the Word of God. Then you will begin to think, speak, and act like Jesus instead of that old, selfish, sinful person you were before you got saved. You will act from your communication with God.

Your soul is where the battle lies. Whoever and whatever controls your soul—whoever and whatever possesses your thinking, your emotions, and your will—determines the course of your life. Your life today is a result of the decisions you have made in the past.

As believers, we know from God’s Word that God will always give us the final decision (see this week’s theme scripture, Deuteronomy 30:19). Life is choice-driven, and your soul is where the choice to live or die is made.

Dear God, thank you for giving me revelation and understanding through Your Word. I repent over every wrong decision I’ve made in the past. I declare that my soul is renewed and I make right decisions so that I may fulfill the destiny You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
