SCRIPTURE:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

DEVOTIONAL:

As we go through life, we must remember that God doesn’t start until He’s finished. Whatever He is calling us to do, He had it all worked out before the Earth or people existed.

The gifts and callings we walk in today were ordained by God long before we were even born. All we have to do is agree with Him and walk in them. Biblical confession means we agree with God by saying what He has said, knowing He already settled this thing before the foundation of the world.

For example, if you say you don’t have peace, you have just disagreed with Ephesians 1:3. You are not saying what God says about you. He says you have all spiritual blessings, which includes peace. You have peace now.

What you should have done if you felt a lack of peace was to declare, “I have peace with God through Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). When you speak the Word of God, you are declaring what is already real and present in your spirit, and your faith confession is bringing that peace into your soul. Everything you will ever need for your life on Earth is already yours in Heaven. And what brings it from Heaven to Earth? Your confession of faith in God and His Word!

PRAYER:

Dear Father, thank you for choosing me and for the gifts and callings you have placed in me before the foundation of the world. I declare that I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, and I will be faithful to walk in them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
