SCRIPTURE:

His (Jesus’) royal power will continue to grow; his kingdom will always be at peace. He will rule as King David’s successor, basing his power on right and justice, from now until the end of time. The Lord Almighty is determined to do all this. (Isaiah 9:7 GNT)

DEVOTIONAL:

Jesus came to bring the government of God back into the earth to rule over all as it says in Isaiah 9:6–7 (GNT):

A child is born to us!
    A son is given to us!
    And he will be our ruler.
He will be called, “Wonderful[a] Counselor,”
    “Mighty God,” “Eternal Father,”
    “Prince of Peace.”
7 His royal power will continue to grow;
    his kingdom will always be at peace.
He will rule as King David’s successor,
    basing his power on right and justice,
    from now until the end of time.
The Lord Almighty is determined to do all this.

Today, as citizens of the Kingdom of God, we are to move forward in Jesus Christ, as the stone who increased into a mountain and covered the whole earth (see Daniel 2:34–35).

PRAYER:

Dear Father, I praise You, and I am in awe over Your plan for the ages. Empower me with Your Holy Spirit to move forward in Jesus to fulfill all that You’ve called me to do in my sphere of influence.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
