Plant Your Faith as a Seed
SCRIPTURE:
If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.” (Luke 17:6)
DEVOTIONAL:
Faith has nothing to do with your feelings. It is your believing the Word of God, speaking it, and expecting it to come to pass. That’s the kind of faith that God has. When He saw darkness He didn’t say, “Whoo, isn’t it dark out there?” He called darkness light—and light was!
Plant your faith-seed! The apostles asked the Lord to “increase our faith.” How did Jesus respond? “And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you” (Luke 17:6).
Then we began to diagnose that particular verse, “Well, let’s leave off ‘grain of mustard,’ and say it like this, “If you had faith as a seed.” What do you do with a seed? You plant it. So, if you have faith as a seed you’d speak out loud what you want it to do, because when you “say,” you sow.
PRAYER:
Dear God, I thank You that I already have enough faith and I plant my faith as a seed. With my faith, I speak over this situation (name what you want your faith to do). As I say, I sow, and it must obey me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
