SCRIPTURE:

I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 CEV)

DEVOTIONAL:

God’s promises in the Bible are for you to have a long, satisfying life, free from pain, sickness and affliction, enabling you to receive wholeness in every area of your life.

“I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns” (1 Thessalonians 5:23 CEV). Other translations say “wholly,” meaning that your whole spirit, soul and body will be kept sound and intact.

The definition of redeemed is to be brought back or bought back. Sickness, disease, mental torment, and emotional distress hold multitudes of people captive today. As believers, we were in captivity, but we’ve been brought out of that captivity. What we want to do now is to get some understanding of what it means to be brought out of death into life, sickness into health, bondage into freedom.

God created you and placed you in the earth for such a time as this. It takes a healthy mind, heart and body to fulfill the divine assignment that God has destined for you.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you that Jesus has overcome sickness and death and paid the price for me to live whole and free. I declare that I am healed and healthy through the stripes that Jesus took in my place, and I am forever grateful. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
