SCRIPTURE:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26)

DEVOTIONAL:

God Created You for Dominion

You and I have been chosen by God to live in this time. Like Queen Esther, we were “born for such a time as this.” God not only had us born now, but born again and equipped with what it takes to overcome the world by using our faith, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

Read this week’s scripture verse. I want you to notice one thing. What God expected Adam and mankind to do was to have dominion over this earth. Now having dominion means to rule, to govern, to subdue, or to manage.

God made the earth for man. He expected Adam, and those of us who came after him, to exercise stewardship and ownership—to take care of the earth for God. We were meant to be in charge here. That was God’s plan, and He never changes His plan.

No matter what the circumstances are that surround us, we have the victory. Are you ready to take your place in God’s plan?

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for Your plan in the earth. I receive Your mandate to take dominion in my sphere of influence that I might be a harvester of souls in these last days. Thank you for Your wisdom and anointing to be a blessing wherever You place me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
