Scripture:

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
(Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT)

Devotion:

In today’s scripture, our puny, little thoughts and failure to believe in the bigness of our God are admonished. Is there a situation in your life that has overwhelmed you with hopelessness? You think, “Well God, I know You’ve come through for me in the past, but this time—I just don’t know if You’ll answer.”

Your problem may seem impossible, and in your own strength and ability to solve it, it probably is. Our minds are finite. There are limitations to what we can perceive with our human intellect. But, God’s thoughts are far higher and His ways far greater than we can imagine.

Commit the answer to Him who created all that exists. God will never fail you. Seek His will in this situation and release all anxiety, fear, and trying to work things out by yourself which only leads to futility and frustration. Get ready to receive what God has for you—an abundant blessing and solution that will go far beyond what you could have imagined!

Prayer:

Lord, I cast all my care on Jesus because He cares for me. I release every anxiety and fear about this situation. I place my trust completely in You and in Your thoughts and ways that are higher than mine. I praise You now for Your answer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
