SCRIPTURE:

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.: (Matthew 16:18)

DEVOTIONAL:

I find so many Christians are passively sitting, waiting on God to do something, when God has already done everything! He did it through the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we have been restored to God as His children; we are righteous and have no desire to sin anymore. In His Name and through His blood we have authority over the enemy and we have no reason to fear anyone or anything. We have His peace, His wisdom, and His power. When His Word comes out of our mouths in faith and according to His will, what we speak must come to pass. So, what are we waiting for?

Even when we are not moving forward physically, we must always move forward mentally. It is vital that we continue to take the land of our minds by meditating in God’s Word day and night. We must eat, sleep, and breathe truth. This is not a passive thing! This is literally storming the gates of hell.

God really wants Christians to be on the offensive, pushing back and conquering every device and system of the enemy. Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against us, but if we are not moving forward, they are pushing us back! We must put feet to our faith, take dominion, and make disciples of all nations. We must be the Kingdom of God in this Earth and bring Heaven to Earth!

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you that through Jesus You have given me Your peace, wisdom and power. You have given me authority over the devil in Jesus’ Name and I am moving forward in Your plans and purposes for my life. I walk in the truth and I am free!   In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
