SCRIPTURE:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

DEVOTIONAL:

Before you were born, God assigned you a purpose and destiny here on Earth. You were called, consecrated (se apart) and equipped for kingdom service, with a good and expected end. (See Ephesians 2:10 and 2 Timothy 1:9 in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition.)

When I received my call into the ministry, I didn’t know the entire plan God had for me at that time. I did know, however, that I was called to preach the gospel and that I was anointed by God to bring deliverance, healing and freedom to those who didn’t know Jesus Christ. The more I was faithful and obedient to what God told me to do, the more He revealed His plans for me.

And God will do the same for you. He is depending on you to advance and cultivate the kingdom, wherever He sends you, so don’t take your calling lightly. You are carrying the kingdom within you and its purpose is to bless and help others as well as to bring transformation to cities and nations.

Seek God for His will for your life. Ask Him, “What mountain or sphere of influence am I to possess for the kingdom? Lord, lead me to the people you want me to touch and influence.” Remember, as an ambassador for Christ, you are a living reflection of God, reconciling the world to His love (2 Corinthians 5:20).

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for calling, equipping, and setting me apart for Your special assignment. I ask You now, “What mountain or sphere of influence am I to possess for the kingdom? Lord, lead me to the people you want me to touch and influence.”  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
