SCRIPTURE:

For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. (Galatians 5:6 AMPC)

DEVOTIONAL:

It takes strong, unshakeable faith to possess what God has promised us and to reach our destiny. The promises of God are not automatic. We have to fight the good fight of faith to receive our inheritance and to possess our mountain (1 Timothy 6:12). And your faith won’t work without love. You have to “stay on the love line.”

Many believers don’t realize the important connection between love and faith. One of the wisest things you can do is to ask God to increase your capacity to love, and since God is love, what you really need is more of Him.

You can block God’s anointing on your life when you hold onto bitterness, unforgiveness, blame, or have a victim mentality. These things negate love and faith, allowing what was first just a thought to become an emotional stronghold, which blocks your spiritual power, promotion and peace.

If you don’t have the power of God’s love working within, you can’t shape a culture, possess a mountain or win souls for the kingdom. It may not make sense to your natural mind to love your enemy or to pray for someone who’s talking about you, but it will pay off in the end. God’s love never fails!

PRAYER:

Dear Father, I purpose to walk in Your love so that my faith will not fail as I possess the mountain You’ve given me to influence for Your kingdom. I forgive anyone who has hurt me, and I let all bitterness go. Fill me with Your mercy and compassion for others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
