SCRIPTURE:

And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. (Exodus 11:1)

DEVOTIONAL:

Without the vengeance of the Lord, the children of Israel and their descendants would have remained in bitter slavery. So, God sent Moses, His prophet, to deliver them from Pharaoh’s bondage, and only the “plague of vengeance” was powerful enough to humble Pharaoh to let God’s people go. Through God’s vengeance, Pharaoh had to bow to God’s will and authority and was made to realize that his earthly throne was no match for the power and sovereignty of God’s.

God’s vengeance also brought supernatural deliverance through the hands of Esther. God chose

Esther to become queen in a heathen nation, and He anointed her “for such a time as this”; that is, to stand up against an evil leader and an evil law seeking to wipe God’s people off the face of the earth.

Vengeance is required for every believer to complete what God has called them to do on Earth for the gospel and the Kingdom of God.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I pray that like Moses and Esther, You will  bring supernatural breakthrough in  (name a situation in which you need God to intervene). Thank you for Your vengeance at work in the earth and in my life today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
