SCRIPTURE:

And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it…And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. (Numbers 13:27, 30)

DEVOTIONAL:

Remember when the twelve spies returned from spying out the Promised Land? Numbers 13:32 says “And they brought up an evil report.” Ten of the spies (leaders) reported something to the congregation that was not the Word or the will of God.  The scriptures go on to say, “And all the congregation lifted up their voices, and cried; and the people wept that night” (Numbers 14:1). They meditated (pondered) and quickly began to visualize the worst, never even physically seeing one single giant.

Instead of this large congregation meditating on the two spies’ “good report,” the report of the Lord, they chose to meditate on the “evil report,” the bad news.  And just like a seed sown in soil, it came to harvest. They received exactly what they believed and spoke, dying without ever reaching their destiny.

I decree that you will have a long life and you will reach your God-given destiny, in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER:

Dear God, Anoint me to see the “good report” in my situation instead of focusing on the problem. I believe I walk in victory, abundance and long life, and I will fulfill my destiny. I will walk in the promises You have given me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
