SCRIPTURE:

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  (Galatians 3:13–14)

DEVOTIONAL:

Most Christians agree that we’ve been redeemed from sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, but remember that we’ve also been redeemed from sickness and the curse that was placed on the earth after Adam’s transgression in the Garden.

We can still live in the earth, but we can be separate from the world and the calamity in it. He has set us apart from the things that come on the world that we call curses. We are redeemed from the curse of the law.

Notice, these things are not automatic. Our theme scripture says, “we receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:14), so we’re going to have to apply faith to make this happen. The Amplified Bible describes faith this way: “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. (Hebrews 11:1 AMP)

This verse tells me that something (substance) is there, and even though you can’t see it with the natural eye, it is still there. How do we get it? We get it by faith, and—FAITH IS ALWAYS NOW!

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, thank you that You have set me apart and redeemed me from the curse of the law—In Jesus Christ, I am free from sickness, poverty, and every work of the devil. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
