Miracles Work by Faith
SCRIPTURE:
Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. (Isaiah 8:18)
DEVOTIONAL:
In the AMERICAN Dictionary of the English Language, published by Noah Webster in 1828, a miracle is defined as “an event or effect contrary to the established constitution and course of things, or a deviation from the known laws of nature; a supernatural event. Miracles can be wrought only by Almighty power.”
One of the biggest reasons for miracles in the Body of Christ is to establish God’s Kingdom throughout the earth. Miracles happen on a level the human mind cannot explain without the help of the Holy Spirit. The majesty of miracles, or the supernatural, is that they produce change and provide solutions outside the reach of what is humanly possible.
Every citizen born again into the Kingdom of God is made for miracles (see Isaiah 8:18). For the believer actively abiding in the Kingdom, miracles are not a surprise or things that happen every now and then. They are part of the believer’s lifestyle, as natural as breathing air and drinking water.
PRAYER:
Dear God, I am Your child and I thank You that I am made for signs and wonders. I pray that miracles will become a normal and consistent part of my everyday lifestyle. I thank You for the miracles You will provide for me, in me, and through me. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
