SCRIPTURE:

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NKJV)

DEVOTIONAL:

This is the most challenging time to be alive on planet Earth. And as nations experience more political, economic, and social distress, it will be the dedicated, godly men and women, kings and priests, who will come to the rescue with the right answers and practical ingenuity to solve the world’s problems. Kings and priests should know that they have tremendous, God-given potential inside them, which is tied to their unique purpose on Earth to bless and benefit others.

Entrepreneurs, for example, are given gifts not just for themselves, but for the good of their neighborhood or nation. God calls business leaders and entrepreneurs, just like He calls pastors and preachers, and gives them the responsibility to drive the economy forward. They have the responsibility to expand business markets, identify new ways of organizing resources, create jobs, discover cures, or simply help dreams become reality.

No matter the vocation—scientist, teacher, movie producer, actor, athlete, or homemaker—God calls each of us to influence and shape our culture with the superior principles and power of the kingdom of God. You were called for such a time as this!

PRAYER:

Father, thank you for the gifts You’ve placed in me to make a difference in my community and the world. Help me to develop and use them for Your glory and to benefit others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
