Scripture:

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
(2 Corinthians 8:9)

Devotion:

Let’s look at today’s scripture also in the Amplified Bible (AMPC): “For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).”

What a list of incredible benefits our Lord Jesus has provided for you and me through His wonderful grace! He has abundantly supplied everything that we could need in this earthly life, and of course, for the eternity we will spend with Him. Through His sacrifice on the cross, Jesus not only defeated sin, but He provided healing for our spirit, soul and body, deliverance from every type of affliction and addiction, peace, prosperity and purpose.

Don’t let the devil (or well-intentioned, but unlearned family and friends) talk you out of all God’s precious and amazing blessings that Jesus purchased for you. Walk in confidence today, knowing that His favor and goodness with follow you!

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for all the awesome blessings You have given me. I am overwhelmed by your grace and your love, and will be forever grateful. I love you, Jesus! In Your Name, I pray, Amen.
