SCRIPTURE:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

DEVOTIONAL:

You need to develop your faith because the times are only getting harder. People, including a lot of church people, are filled with fear—fear of terrorists, fear of disease, fear of the weather. When the hurricanes hit Florida, lines of cars were scrambling to get out, almost bumper-to-bumper, and people were panicking. They couldn’t get off the islands fast enough.

However, we’re supposed to operate in faith, not fear. We have been made for such a time as this. God knew these would be hard times, and He knew that we could handle them.

To exercise our faith, we’re going to have to start speaking some things. It’s the only way to dominate. The world may not understand what you’re saying because you’re from another planet. You were born from above. And God wants to use you to show people that His kingdom rules over everything.

PRAYER:

Dear God, I am trusting in You in these times. You have made me more than a conqueror, and I know that I have authority over every situation, no matter what comes. I will not speak words of fear; I will speak only words of faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
